Plotting revenge...
When I came back from Singapore, I thought that I could catch up on my sleep. I was wrong. The entire of last night, I was kept awake by one bastard of a mosquito. It wasn't because it was biting me non stop. Oh no, that would have been too merciful. This mosquito...has PhD in psychology. It was driving me nuts with its endless buzzing in both my ears. It BUZZED me awake. At 4am, I finally got out of bed and turn on the lights, hoping to chase it away (or kill it). No such luck. So I went back to bed. Less than 5 minutes later, the buzzing came back.
At one point, I even wondered whether it was really a mosquito or my ears were having problems (it happens to the elderly). I reminded myself that I'm not even 30 years old. -_- Fed up, I covered myself with the comforter, from head to toe. For a while, it was quiet, BUT! I couldn't sleep! Why? I was actually afraid that if I fell asleep, the mosquito would wake me up. I'm starting to sound illogical here.
And THEN. The comforter wasn't soundproof enough for our energetic mosquito. I could hear it buzzing. Sounds crazy, but I could tell that it was mad. Angry that it has no access to me, because the buzzing suddenly got aggressive and loud. I can't believe I was beginning to understand mosquito talk. T_T
I couldn't hide under the comforter forever. It was suffocating. I actually thought, "Can you just hurry up, suck my blood and get lost?" I thought that that was better than buzzing around the entire night, and I could get some sleep. It DID suck my blood, from my index finger which was sticking out of the comforter. -_- Stupid mosquito. It, however, didn't leave after it's meal. How rude.
Finally, I decided that I shouldn't be so nice. I started to imagine what I would do with it once I caught it. Smacking it dead would be too merciful. Instead, I will capture it alive, and then pull out its legs one by one...and then the wings...let's see how it'll buzz after that! HAH!
Unfortunately, catching a mosquito alive is even more impossible than climbing Mt Kinabalu for me. So all I did was spray the entire room this morning and I HOPE and pray that I'll be able to sleep peacefully tonight.

Singapore 2008 - Inconsiderate Fellow Passenger, Clarke Quay
As I've mentioned before, I took the bus to and from Singapore on my last trip. Before the highlight of the trip, I managed to get myself lost in Novena Square. I didn't know how that happened, but yes, I lost my family while walking to the bus. I couldn't call them and I could only sms them, which I mispelled Burger King due to the dictionary function and I was running out of battery. It was early in the morning so many shops weren't open yet. Finally they managed to contact me before my handphone died off and I found them. My mom thought that it was hilarious how Steffi the adventurer who goes exploring Singapore could get lost in a MALL.
And then, in the bus, I sat next to the window so the luggage rack was right above my head. I was daydreaming and didn't realized that we had reached the immigration dept of Singapore. I got up abruptly when my dad called out to me - and smack my head really hard against the luggage rack - and ended up keeling over on the chair while holding my head, sans anime style. That was the first time I saw stars. That day just wasn't my day.
And now, the highlight:
I have never met anyone as annoying as this lady who was sitting in front of my sister (who's on my left). It started off when we left Novena Square. I love watching the scenery outside the bus, but suddenly this lady (the snobbish
tai tai type) approached me and requested that I pull the curtains as the sun was too bright. What are you? Vampire?! Ok, fine, I just looked at her and pull the curtains shut. After a while, I decided to nap, but nooooooooo, someone was being too noisy. If she wants to talk to her friend, she could do so quietly, but instead, she was complaining loudly. I don't know what she has to complain about, but she has A LOT of complaining to do to her friend. If it's not this, it's that.
I hate being disturbed when:
1) I want to sleep (I'm sure most of you too)
2) I'm watching anime
3) I'm reading manga/book
4) I'm daydreaming
She even went to the bus driver to complain/ask about stuff a few times, eg. "Why are we stopping at this rest stop and not that rest stop?" or "That rest stop has so many flies!" and God knows what else.
The last straw was when we alighted the bus after a rest stop, she actually came over to my sister's and my side and stared blatantly at our footspace without even acknowledging us. On top of that she looked as if she was checking whether we had foot disease which could possible spread to the front where she sits.
Steffi, when on tour/trip, normally lacks of sleep. Steffi who lacks of sleep also lacks patience and adopts a don't care attitude...Steffi is also irritable especially when confined in small spaces such as a bus. So Steffi decided to take her revenge. >=D
Steffi noticed that Annoying Lady is, besides annoying, also very vain (always smoothing down her short hair and applying cosmetics) and is afraid of cold (she shut off her air vents). So after lunch, at another rest stop when we alighted the bus, we (sister and I
lah)noticed that she wasn't in the bus yet. >=D OPPORTUNITY TIME! I told my sister to sit at that Annoying Lady's place while I directed both our air-con blowers to her (it was pretty cold in the bus, so we didn't need them). At full blast of course :D I don't know if the other passengers saw, but they sure didn't say anything if they did.
Finally, the bus left the rest stop. And the fun begins. Annoying Lady does not know why her hair kept on swaying about like the
lalang at our roadside, or Autumn in My Heart, which ever you prefer, but she kept on flattening down her hair. Every few minutes. :D With a smirk on my face, I settled down to sleep but this time I was disturbed by my sister. It was funny to see her laughing silently, shoulders shaking, face all red and fist stuffed to her mouth to prevent herself from laughing out loud everytime the Annoying Lady's hair swayed. Mom probably realized what I did but didn't say anything
at first. Dad on the other hand, needed my sister to explain to him what was going on :D He, of course, didn't like that Annoying Lady too.
Mom: Ok lah, push the blower back to yourself, later she scold you.
Me(stubborn): Then I'll scold her back. Politely.
Mom: Haih.
I wasn't kidding when I said I'll scold her back. Remember, Steffi who lacks of sleep also lacks rational thinking. I mean, geez, if she was so fussy, why doesn't she hire a limousine or take the aeroplane? Sheesh.

Stressed out by new mobile phone
I just got myself a new mobile phone. For the first time. Yes, for the first time in my life. It was a sudden thing. Anyway, I got it because it could play animes :D (decisions are of course always made based on anime). Although sometimes the audio and video aren't in sync. Hmm...must figure that one out sooner or later.
ANYWAY.
Oh yeah. I've forgotten.
This is my new mobile phone. Sony Ericsson W880i. Probably the second time I've owned a SonyE. The rest were Nokia phones. It...feels like dark chocolate. The urge to snap it and eat it...
BUT that aside...
If there's such a thing as computer illiterate, I wonder whether there's such a thing as "mobile phone illiterate". I am totally clueless about 3G. The only thing I know about 3G is that it can make video calls. Before this, mobile phones to me are for:
1) Make calls, such as "Mom, you can pick me up now..." or "Did you know that Jyrenze has a boyfriend now?"
2) SMS - "I'm bored."
3) Play games - until my thumbs got sore
4) Take pictures (previous one had a camera) which couldn't be uploaded onto the computer.
The new phone has 3G. I didn't even plan to activate it at all. So I didn't bother to really read up on it. However, I didn't realize...I didn't even have to do the activation myself. IT AUTO ACTIVATED! ARGH! So I have no choice but to check it out on Maxis' website.

I tried video calling my aunt in Singapore. I don't know whether it's because I didn't activate the above, or she didn't activate her 3G or she turned off her hp, but it failed.
So I thought I should activate all of the above, and I did that. It's ok, my line is prepaid, so I won't get heart attack when I see the bill ('cause there isn't any).
It.
Still.
FAILED.
Is there anyone from Maxis, or 3G whizkid who can help this handicapped Numbnut? Before I really snap it and eat it...

RASHES! Bah...
It never ends...I thought that the reason why I felt so itchy was because of the many mosquito bites I've obtained over the last few days. It seems that it's rashes that I have now. The cause of it? Probably alcohol. HAH. I've re-developed allergy against alcohol. Why re-developed? That is becaaaaaaaaause I once had rashes when I drank alcohol when I was 9 yrs old. BAH! This means that I have to abstain from alcohol and sea food for the time being. T_T WHAT AM I GOING TO DO AT LANGKAWI?!
Anyway, finally, I managed to upload a few of my New Year's Eve picture taken with my Olympus FE-190 digital camera. It has really, really cool modes and functions, it's awesome!
View of KL Tower and the Twin Towers from this pub/bistro called The Attic at Damansara Heights using the "Fireworks Scene" mode. It's suitable for shooting fireworks at night, and uses a slower shutter speed than in normal shooting.
The same as above, except that I've used the Night + Potrait mode. You can see the difference...
And this one, was taken at Sugania's house, using the candle mode. It's especially for shooting under candlelight where warm colours are reproduced (says the camera). After the miserable webcam taken pictures...now I can go digicam crazy again! BWAHAHAHAHA! However, my wallet's crying...*sigh*

Peeves...
Now really, I should be sympathizing with the victims of the Taiwan earthquake instead of being pissed that I can't download my animes and mangas... RARRRRR!!! Huh. Oh yeah, I didn't abandon blogger either. I have been trying to POST UP PICTURES using their picture tool, but I seem to have problems doing so. Therefore, there will be no pictures for the time being. RARRRRR!!!
I should also be sympathizing with the victims of the flood (my aunt being one) but I can't help feeling slightly disappointed that I was not able to go to Singapore for Christmas because the train tracks looked like a roller coaster's track due to the flood. RAAAAAAAAARRRRR!!! Also, another thing that irritated me is the way KTM informed their clients about the train schedule. I was supposed to leave on Friday night ON A FIRST CLASS COACH (my first time), but it was announced the night before that the train schedule for that night had been cancelled (obviously, I was upset, but it can't be helped). However, the next morning at 8.00am, I was VERY SURE that I saw the notice stating that the Friday night train will resume. So I was happy once again. But at work, in the afternoon, when I checked the website, the notice was GONE. Disappeared. So I was worried. However, my colleague informed me that The Star website said that the afternoon trains were running and the night train will probably be on (slightly happy, but worried as well).
And then, when I reached home and checked their website again, there was a new notice posted at 6.00 p.m. saying that the train schedules until the next day have been cancelled (totally upset at this point). My uncle at Singapore insisted on me calling them because SINGAPORE received the news that the trains will be coming in. So I called and confirm. I was told that there will be no train for that night and the next day. So that was it.
My mom and I went to KL Sentral to get our refund and we saw travellers there with luggages and all, only to be told that the train wont' be going down south that night. Imagine how disappointed they must have been. At least I was mentally prepared. Anyway, with that kind of flood, if the train WAS going down south, I probably won't be able to sleep at all, wondering when the train will topple to one side, or if it rains heavily suddenly and we'll get stranded in the middle of nowhere...Next morning, they showed a picture of the train tracks which looked rather...curvy. Interesting. It would have been a really nice, long and slow roller coaster ride to Singapore if we were to leave that night.
THE POINT IS, do not lead people on like that. One moment saying that the train has resumed, next moment saying that it has been cancelled. It was really troublesome and pissing off.
So, as a result, I missed one of the best Xmas eve dinner (with chocolate log cake from the mariott hotel T_T) and probably one of the best climate flower exhibition at Suntec Convention Centre. Again, I understand that it's all due to the flood, and should not be upset about it as there are more unfortunate people out there. But then again, I'm only human, and I can't help feeling slightly disappointed.
Now, to make my year end even more interesting, I have managed to BREAK MY OFFICE TOILET BOWL's FLUSH HANDLE. Don't ask me how. I was just using it normally. I still couldn't help grinning sheepishly as I told my boss that. I hope I won't be breaking anything before the year ends. That shouldn't be difficult right? It's only three days away...

DON"T SCARE ME!
I have lots of stuffs to complain about today! Firstly, when you are entering someone's room to do something, acknowledge them if you know that they are awake. Don't just sneak in quietly and do nothing/say nothing and then stare...It's freaky, especially in the dark and when the person inside has four eyes! Mom came into the room yesterday to check one me (I was napping) and she wanted to check if the windows were open. I turned around, saw a silhouette there. It wasn't moving, wasn't speaking and it was just standing there (at this point of time, my imagination started running wild). Only after I called out to her did my mom moved and responded. MAN! It was like those Hong Kong dramas, where the assassin enters the room to kill his target who's on the hospital bed...
Next, don't eat at Cengkih in Desa Sri Hartamas. Unless you don't mind spending much on mediocre food. Malay chap fan (mixed rice). Eight bucks for curry chicken, sotong kerabu and ikan bilis plus a glass of teh o ice limau. Not very delicious either. Plus that shop is cursed. First time there, and I got skinned by the tongs there. That piece of my finger's skin is sticking out akwardly. Just when I have decided not to cut it off (don't like that sensitive feeling you get when the skin's not there), the photostating machine decided to rip it off. Don't ask me how. Now, to get good food, the place to go to is Spicy Restaurant(mamak shop). The food's great, the milo ais is good and the price is ok as well. Plus it's clean. Flattened flies on table makes one loses his/her appetite.
Next, be more considerate on the road. I don't appreciate getting heart attack early in the morning. Why can't they just obey the rules T_T I'm not a goody two shoes either, but as I said, please think of the others.
Today seems to be a highly static day. Came to office, after a while, noticed that the skirt was sticking to my legs. Was de-staticfying by leaning against the wooden cabinet while waiting for the water to boil. Now, it's sticking to my legs again. Guess I'll have to de-staticfy by sitting on the wooden chair...
Urgh, enough for today...Back to work.

Boredom
I wrote what I did on a paper today, so that I will not forget what happened when I write this blog. But...I have forgotten to bring that paper back. T_T Let's see if I can recall what happened today. Erm, yeah, Lady Boss wasn't around today coz she has a meeting so I was alone with Guy Boss. Which means less work, though Lady Boss did send instructions on what to do through e-mail. One of them is to ask Guy Boss for money to top up Jaring account. The other was to ask Guy Boss money to make payments to ROC. Though it wasn't for myself, I still felt embarrassed for asking him for so much. >.<
Lady: Hello? (insert company name) ah?
Me: Yes?
Lady: What's your fax number ah?
Me:
(insert number)
Lady: (grunts and puts down the phone)
Me: O.o
What on earth happened to the Thank you? Or introducing herself?! SHEESH! Later on, my Guy Boss called the same company, and someone else picked up the phone. Put him on hold, and then just hanged up the phone like that. That company sure has some attitude problem...
Feeling bored, I decided to try out Pornogami (Guy Boss has gone out). Well...it went into the dustbin. Haih. Not ready for something so complex yet. During lunch, bought two packets of origami paper. Oh, by the way, I was left all alone after lunch. Tried the chicken origami. The result was...a chicken who has lost his crown and has been pecking on cement floor for quite some time AND high on drugs. It went into the dustbin as well. While keeping a plastic bag into the drawer, my Polly Pocket castle version (which I brought to show my Lady Boss' daughter) caught my attention. Hey! Why not play with that! Opened it up, started setting the dolls and things in place and...ah well. It's bored playing with just one character there (the princess of the castle) since the prince is missing (he ran away from the princess...). Chucked that to one side. Pity I don't have a laptop with me, otherwise I would be able to watch Saiyuki. After all, a laptop looks normal in an office whereas a bright pink Polly Pocket looks totally out of place in an office.
Next, decided to read fanfiction while folding simpler origamis. Table seems to be getting more colourful. Played around till it's time to go home, swam, had dinner, bought some stuffs and watched Saiyuki.
