Bleargh!!!
WAAAAAAAAARGHHHH! I really don’t like it at all! I don’t like being greeted by a dead, disemboweled rat upon my arrival at my workplace! It smelled too! ARGH!!!! I should have known that it was a sign that today wasn’t going to be a good day. Sign number 2: Lady Boss’ computer refused to boot up. Sign number 3: Photostating machine had error message after switching it on. Fortunately, the printer was fine…Talking about disemboweled rat, I wonder what happened to the old punk I saw the other day… It was the last day of Chinese New Year, and my family decided to go to Mines Wonderland. They had exhibition on Laksamana Cheng Ho, Flower Exhibition and many other Chinese New Year specials. The ride there was terrible. It was horribly jam. On the way there, this group of Indian guys, probably in their late 20s to 30s went up to a car on the left lane and started HITTING it hard! With their bare fists! Then, a motorbike ridden by their “comrades” stopped in front of the car to block it from moving forward. The car driver, who was a Chinese man (40s -50s, he looked like a gangster) was not bothered by the bike and rammed into it. >.< The bike fell and the bike rider and the pillion rider had to unstuck their legs. But that did not stop the Chinese driver from moving forward! He continued stepping on the accelerator, trying to go over the motorbike. >.< It was like watching an action drama, live. I was slightly disturbed by that incident. I don’t think I want to go to that place often from now on. Not that I always go there…
Dad said they were probably car repossessors. Mom asked him whether it’s true, since they were so violent and dad said, well, that’s how it works. They probably have been trying to get the car back for a long time and this guy must have evaded them. So, as a last resort, these people were hired to go after him. Either that, or he must have quarreled with this bunch of people earlier on, and they were there for revenge.
Well, we arrived at Mines Wonderland and realized why it was so jammed. MCA was having their open house there as well, and each time a minister arrives, the lions (6-8 of them) will dance. One of the Chinese New Year Specials was performances by international award winning Chinese troupe. EXCELLENT performances! I’ve never seen such dangerous stunts and moves executed so perfectly before, and some of them are only small kids!
I have never been good at history, but at least I knew that Laksamana Cheng Ho exists. What I didn’t know, was that his original surname was “Ma” (I think) and “Cheng” surname was awarded to him by the emperor. What I didn’t know also, was that he was an eunuch O.o It was definitely an interesting piece of news.
Another attraction that was worth mentioning was the animals on exhibition there. The white tigers were…white. One of the orange tigers (forgotten the name) was really huge! For some odd reason, the peacocks there kept on making noise at the same time. They were probably disturbed by the sounds coming from the MCA open house stage. Anyway, I know what sounds the peacocks make now. It sounds like this, “Niyao, niyao, niyao, niyao, buyao…”
We didn’t get to see everything that Mines Wonderland has to offer, which was a pity. Was it worth RM32? Yeah, definitely…
